Moscow authorities have announced conditions for resumption of carsharing

The Moscow City Government and Rospotrebnadzor are discussing the possibility of partial resumption of carsharing. The main condition is the requirement to provide a car for rent for a period of at least five days. This is reported by the press service of the capital’s Department of Transport.

“We plan to allow the work of the carsharing operators, which will rent out the cars for at least five days. Thus this proposal is valid for those who have work passes. The client should fill in the number of the pass in the application of the carsharing operator before the lease starts. The second condition is strict observance of recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor on anti-epidemic measures”, - underlined Maxim Liksutov, the Head of the Moscow Department of Transport.

It is supposed that after the end of the lease the cars will be taken off the line for obligatory disinfection. At the same time, the authorities promise to organize control over both cleaning and compliance with the new terms of use. Maxim Liksutov had also noted that parking on the streets of the city for users of carsharing, as before, will remain free.

Finally, he had clarified that rumors about the possible resumption of the carsharing on May 18 are not true.
